Dr. Hawkins wishes all our clients to know that the entire Staff is fully appraised and mindful of the Public Health situation concerning the COVID-19 Virus, and that we are doing our utmost to maintain a safe environment for all of our clients and staff.

Over and above our usual stringent disinfection of the entire Veterinary Hospital on a daily basis, including our medical and surgical equipment and utensils, our Waiting Room, Exam and Treatment rooms, we are ramping up the disinfection protocols and their frequency.

We have many clients in high risk groups, such as the elderly and those who suffer immune deficiencies or have underlying medical issues, and we realise that those individuals may have to rely on friends and neighbours to facilitate their Veterinary needs. Please feel free to call us for advice on these matters.

Please phone our Reception (905 875 6888) if you need to cancel you appointment, so we can make alternative arrangement. This is especially important if:-

  • you or any family member has been out of the country in the past 14 days,
  • has had a positive test for COVID-19 or has exhibited ANY of the following symptoms:-
  • Fever…Sore Throat….Cough…Difficulty Breathing

    Alternate arrangements include;
     Scheduling telephone consults where possible /or appropriate
     Have someone else bring your pet to their appointment
     Communicating with our doctors/staff via phone.

Alternatively, it will be possible, by arrangement, to hand over your pet to a Veterinary Assistant at the front of the building ( in the Car Park), so we can bring him/her  inside for treatment .
Or, you can reschedule your appointment to a later date.

Please remember to call us and plan ahead to avoid running low on medication or prescription foods. At this time, we have not been advised by any of our suppliers of any shortage in stock or its delivery.
If you wish to order extra supplies please telephone us to have meds/food put aside for you, and those items can be pre-paid over the telephone.

At this point in time, we are keeping to our regular hours. Thank you, best wishes,

Dr. Debbie and the Team.
